Google Pixel SIM Unlock Guide

For Pixel devices, follow these steps to remove SIM restrictions:

Remove SIM card and factory reset the device.
Complete setup in offline mode.
Go to Settings → Apps → Show System Apps.
Search for Device Setup, open Wi-Fi Data Usage, and turn off background data.
Enable ADB and connect your device to PC.
Open QcFire → Read & Tool → Pixel SIM Unlock.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Updated Internal Database
The internal loader database has been updated to improve EDL and flashing compatibility across more Qualcomm devices.

Samsung EDL Connection Method

For newer Samsung models, use the following method:

Hold VOL UP + VOL DOWN on the device.
Press and hold the EDL cable button.
Connect cable to the device while holding the button.
Rapidly press VOL UP + VOL DOWN together at least 3 times.
Release the EDL cable button but keep pressing VOL UP + VOL DOWN until connected in EDL mode.

UMT FADR – Fix “Forbidden Application Detected” Error

If you’re getting the “Forbidden Application Detected” error while using UMT tools, the UMT FADR (Forbidden Application Detector and Remover) can help.

This small utility scans your PC, detects the programs causing the issue, and lets you remove them easily.

How to Use UMT FADR

1) Run the Tool – Open UMT FADR and click on Scan.

2) Check the List – The tool will display the applications responsible for the error.

If you recognize which software installed them, remove that software from Add/Remove Programs in Windows.

3) Remove Automatically – If you can’t find the source, simply click Remove in UMT FADR.

4) Confirm Deletion – Click Yes to continue removing the applications.

5) Restart Your PC – Once done, the tool will ask to reboot. Click Yes to restart.

After restarting, the Forbidden Application Error should be gone. ✅

Important Notes

Some detected applications might be USB hub or port filter drivers. Removing them may cause USB issues.
If that happens, reinstall the software that installed the driver, then uninstall it properly from Windows.
